His Purpose

What is death but the opposite of life here? The people that we miss in death are absolutely the fortunate ones, they don’t miss us. I listened to the song by Glen Campbell “I’m not going to miss you” a song he wrote because he has Alzheimer’s and it hit me, death only hurts the people left behind the people trying to find a reason why?

Oh How I Love Him

I have been thinking a lot about my friend who lost her son heartbreakingly. And I wonder what human words are there that help to rebuild a family when grief is like a lion that grabs hold of the gazelle and rips into its flesh with no regard for the soul it devours, but unlike the gazelle the agony of that moment never ends.

We live in a world so broken by hopelessness that sometimes people feel death is the only escape from the aching that echoes within their soul. I know that hopeless feeling because I too have been in a pit so deep all I could welcome was the darkness. When we get ourselves that far down in the dark we lose the strength to dig up! Our only hope is when someone lets the Light in.
