In Exeter a couple I completely adore Grant and Ada Triebner found their way Home and two Lights that shone into the world found their place in the skies above us just as they lived side-by-side. Uncle Grant and Aunt Ada would be humbled by all the media attention their relationship is receiving. They shared a Love so Beautifully Precious even complete strangers sense the measure of earth’s loss for truly there is no greater affection than hearts so intermingled by love, their minds no longer have an understanding of two.
Still I wish all the reporters who stand out on their front yard and point a camera at the place they quietly lived would realize the sorrow their disconnected reporting imposes on a Family who just wants the world to know a much greater story of love’s true calling and give them some time to grieve a Mom and Dad who lived life unencumbered in a world that sometimes has an appetite for greed.
I know theirs is a genuine love story and for us who treasured each page, it reads gentler and sweeter as time slowly turned each chapter of their manuscript written in God’s own unfailing ink. I couldn’t have asked God for a better example of unconditional love and grace in my life. I genuinely cherish the picture of the Bible they always had beside them.
If they would have wanted the world to report anything it would be to take time to read God’s Word and then purely believe He means it. Live your life not taking one second for granted on this earth and surround yourself with Family and not things money buys. Be the person God called you to be and always give grace in the moments of life that bargain for your Faith and when you can’t stand, find your place in the presence of God’s Amazing Grace.
My Uncle Grant often talked about Heaven with tears that found their way out of the treasures of his heart, longing to see his Son again with his Girls because nothing was more important to him than being with his Family there, and in the end it’s not really who you know that matters, it’s that they mattered enough to you to know them.
We can get so caught up in making money, buying things and how high our name echoes in this world, but in the end it’s God who promotes and on January 3rd He called out their names as they walked upon Heaven’s blanket of snow as Angel’s wings softly guided their steps and gathered each breath awaiting their attendance to carry them Home.
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live
I wish words healed, that tears could wash away pain and Heavens gates opened both ways but until the day I see them again, their light will always shine on my heart and I know it’s there to remind me that one day Heaven will ask me too if I lived a life worth the times that matter?
I will always treasure Aunt Ada’s gentle soul and the way Uncle Grant’s laughter danced across my soul.
How incredibly I miss them already.
