8 Years today

Even in the midst of my earthly difficulties I will not cease to praise the God whom I Love. He is more than this life to me.

It’s been 8 years since I felt your hugs or seen your inner beauty but I remember your life with happiness and experience the full measure of your love with each breath I take. How Amazing it is to me that you are Home now, Daniel.

Not once have I thought God was anything less than Gracious for lending us your tender soul and unbroken smile. Uncle Daniel you must have left your kindness for Hayden to find, your wiggly-silly stories for Ethan to tell and your sweet smile in Aveleigh but most of all I think you left your unending Love for a Brother in your Big Sister!

Some days I miss you but it’s then I love to imagine you racing your “new” beat up old truck through seas of crystal tears that God has saved from each person who still misses you so that a part of us can be with you. Those teardrops run so deep that waves splash breathlessly over every window of that truck that’s now soaked in crystal clear waves of enjoyment where my heart sees you and Grandpa tossed from side to side laughing in pure delight!

So God I want to thank you for giving me so much more than I could ever write when you gave me Cassandra and Daniel and if tomorrow I was gone too You are exactly everything You have claimed to be! You give me Light in the Darkness and even when I fail so terribly, how desperately I still Love you!

Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”

To me, it doesn’t seem that long ago we said goodbye to Daniel. He was always a boy right from the start. He knew how to play hard and bring the dirt with him. As he grew he became a wonderful young man. He made no age barriers and greeted me with a smile every time I saw him. He was so courteous and polite…….something you rarely see in a young man his age. We all miss him but know God is preparing a grand reunion with him in due time.
IN the meantime, you have grown so much in the Lord that he has made you a blessing to so many people.
